SATHAPANA Limited celebrates International Women’s Day 2025

On March 8, 2025, SATHAPANA Limited Myanmar proudly celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) as part of its commitment to gender equality and recognition of women’s contributions in the workplace. The event featured an insightful address by our CEO, Mr. Sudeep Gupta, who shared the historical journey of International Women’s Day from its origins in 1909 to its global recognition by the United Nations in 1977.

Mr. Gupta emphasized that the essence of IWD lies in promoting gender equality and advocating for equal rights for women in all aspects of life. He took the opportunity to recognize and celebrate the dedication of the women at SATHAPANA Limited Myanmar. Highlighting the company’s commitment to gender balance, he proudly acknowledged that SATHAPANA maintains an equal percentage of male and female employees, reinforcing its inclusive workplace culture.

Furthermore, Mr. Gupta extended his appreciation to all female employees, including those who could not attend the workshop—such as head office staff, branch employees, and field officers—recognizing their unwavering dedication and contributions. As a token of appreciation, all women present at the workshop received a special recognition gift, symbolizing the company’s gratitude for their hard work and commitment.

This celebration aligns with the broader International Women’s Day 2025 campaign under the theme “Accelerate Action.” The initiative focuses on fostering workplaces where women feel empowered to bring their whole selves to work every day. In support of this, SATHAPANA Limited Myanmar also participated in the campaign in collaboration with the Business Coalition for Gender Equality (BCGE), where SATHAPANA is a proud Implementor Member.

SATHAPANA Limited Myanmar is honored to be part of this meaningful initiative and looks forward to continued engagement with partner organizations and stakeholders. By standing together, we can drive real progress and celebrate the invaluable contributions of women in the workplace and beyond.
