On 4th and 5th November 2016, SATHAPANA Limited (SPNM) held its Branch Management Workshop at Thiri Hpa An Hotel, Hpa An, Kayin State, Myanmar with the participation of Director, Executive Committee, Management, Regional Managers and Branch Managers.

 

The workshop proved very fruitful through the presentation of each branch’s achievement as well as company’s achievement, followed by the informative panel discussion – on key challenges and issues of all functional managements – and ended with the sharing of leadership philosophy.

The remarkable development of the company could be seen by just comparing the number of participant in this workshop to the number of participant in last year workshop. More importantly, most of participants were local people who have been developing and handling key positions at management level. The human resources development has been the first priority objective for SPNM as it realizes that people is an absolutely crucial resource in business development and growth.

Reported in the workshop, SPNM, form March 2016 to September 2016, rose its clients from 10,261 to 31,046 clients, loan portfolio from 3.30 billion kyats to 8.25 billion kyat, number of branch from 4 to 8 branches, and staff from 91 to 161. SPNM is operating in 4 regions, 5 districts, 24 townships, 254 village tracts, and 722 words/villages. SPNM plans to expand its operations to 3 new regions and establish 3 more branches in this fiscal year 2016-2017.
