Mr. Mya Ko Elected as an Executive Committee Member of the Myanmar Microfinance Association (MMFA)

We are delighted to announce that our Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Mya Ko, has been elected as an Executive Committee Member of the Myanmar Microfinance Association (MMFA) during its Annual General Assembly held on February 6, 2025.

Mr. Mya Ko has been an integral part of SATHAPANA Limited since February 2021, bringing with him a wealth of experience and expertise in the microfinance sector. He holds a BA in Economics from Monywa Institute of Economics (2005), a Diploma in Banking from Yangon University of Economics (2012), and studied for Executive Master of Banking and Finance at Yangon University of Economics (2019).

With over a decade of experience in Myanmar’s microfinance industry, Mr. Mya Ko has worked with several esteemed microfinance institutions, including Bagan Capital, Hayman Capital, MC Easy, AEON, and SATHAPANA Limited. We are confident that his leadership and deep industry knowledge will enable him to actively contribute to MMFA’s initiatives, strengthen collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and support advocacy efforts and policy discussions with regulators when needed.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Mya Ko on this well-deserved recognition and look forward to his valuable contributions to MMFA and the microfinance sector in Myanmar.
