Report to: Data Center & System Administration Unit Manager
Position Summary
The Data Center & Network Administration Unit Assistant is responsible to assist IT function for monitoring, reporting, installing, upgrading and troubleshooting DC/DR; monitoring of network performance; install, upgrade, configure and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, LAN/WAN troubleshooting with protocols such as HSRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS and static and dynamic route; install upgrade, network security devices such as firewall and L2, L3 switch, proxy. He reports to the Data Center & Network Administration Unit Manager and supports all staff who involving in system to perform their work effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities of Data Center & Network Administration Unit Assistant
- Assists day-to-day operation, hardware server, storage, installation, configuration operating system and application, and record the system downtime and equipment inventory
- Performs troubleshooting as required and assists problem-solving efforts often involving other support users
- Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of the critical host servers and storage resources
- Assists to maintain server, storage and protects systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature and user abuse; documentation for backup and restoration of host operating systems and host-based applications
- Practices network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory, life cycle management and related documentation
- Monitors and ensures optimal operation of all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, and so on
- Tests network performance and provides network performance statistics and reports
- Assists to make certain network capacity meet existing and future requirements
- Assists on the installation/configuration and maintains of DNS, firewall and other security, traffic shaping, caching and filtering, installation and configuration of Cisco, Wireless (Wi-Fi), router and VPN
- Installs, configures and maintains of PC desktop, laptop, OS, application, printer, passbook printer, scanner, security camera system, network infrastructure and others equipment to branches’ operation; supports end user’s day to day related IT functions and operations
- Be an active learner and a good leader of a team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/ College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
- Minimum one year working experience in related field
- Experience working with relational systems such as Linux OS, Microsoft OS or Oracle Solaris OS and a good working knowledge of Report Builder Tools
- Knowledge on Palo Alto, Fortinet firewall, Cisco ASA firewall, L2, L3 switching, Network monitoring tool (e.g. Zabbix, Cacti, Nagios) ADVPN, IPsec VPN, SSL VPN, with SD-WAN technology
- Hands-on knowledge on configuration and troubleshooting skills on VPN tunnels, NAT, PAT, failover, backup and restore
- Good IT and organizational skills
- Self-starter with strong self-management skills
- Good in English and Myanmar language skills (reading, writing, understanding)
